SCP TSP Skill Development Training(SCP/TSP)


Introduction

Rationale :

To conduct skill development training to Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe (SC/ST) candidates in order to provide employment opportunities to SC/ST candidate at minimum of 800 bedded NABH accredited Hospitals with assurance of providing employment to 75% of the trained candidates.

Description of the model:

To provide employment opportunities for youth belonging to scheduled castes & scheduled tribe community by providing them with skills training to continue socially & economically stable.

Applications were invited from preferred organizations by calling Expression of Interest & the following 3 organizations Apollo Med skills Ltd., M.S.Ramaiah Memorial Hospital, Narayana Health were selected based on their infrastructure, experience and expertise in health sector skill training & MOU has been executed.

Objectives:

  • To provide Skill development training at free of cost to those belonging to marginalised    young men & women belonging to SC/ST.

  • To reinforce social well being and improve financial status of SC/ST youth by providing    skill training and employment opportunities in Health sector.

  • Providing them free residential training at minimum of 800 bedded NABH accredited     hospitals

  • Providing employment opportunities to SC/ST candidates by providing employment to at      least 75% of the trained candidates& employment at least for an year

  • To provide advanced knowledge in health care related skill and to fulfil the huge demand     of skilled professionals in the health care industry.

Goals:

  • Providing different skill training to total of 1500 SC/ST candidates

  • Providing skill development training with assurance of employment opportunities to at     least 75% of the trained candidates, in 800 bedded NABH accredited Hospitals.

  • Providing training to SC/ST candidates to become socially & economically stable in the    society

  • To provide advanced knowledge in health care related skill for SC/ST Candidates

Implementation:

144 students have been successfully trained and around 1477 students are proposed for training in the General Duty Assistant (GDA), Phlebotomist & Home Health Aid.
